     Sir Adam Browne, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Ambrose Browne, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Adam.¹ He married Philippa Cooper, daughter of Sir John Cooper, 1st Bt. and Anne Ashley, before 1658.¹ He died circa October 1690, without surviving male issue.¹ He was buried on 3 November 1690 at Dorking, Surrey, England.¹ His will was probated in December 1690.¹
     On 30 June 1648 he was fined £60 as a delinquent, increased to £240.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Surrey between 1661 and 1679.¹ He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Browne, of Bettsworth Castle, co. Surrey [E., 1627] on 16 August 1661.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Surrey between 1685 and 1687.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Philippa Cooper was born circa 1624.¹ She was the daughter of Sir John Cooper, 1st Bt. and Anne Ashley.¹ She married Sir Adam Browne, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Ambrose Browne, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Adam, before 1658.¹ She died on 20 May 1701.¹ Her will was probated in May 1701.¹
     From before 1658, her married name became Browne.¹

     Ambrose Browne was born circa 1659.¹ He was the son of Sir Adam Browne, 2nd Bt. and Philippa Cooper.¹ He died circa July 1688, unmarried.¹ He was buried on 24 July 1688 at Dorking, Surrey, England.¹
     Ambrose Browne matriculated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, on 4 November 1673.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bletchingley between 1685 and 1687.¹

     Margaret Browne was the daughter of Sir Adam Browne, 2nd Bt. and Philippa Cooper.¹ She married William Fenwick (?) in 1691.¹ She died circa May 1726, without issue.¹ She was buried on 6 May 1726 at Dorking, Surrey, England.¹

     Malinda Dodson was born in 1790.¹ She was the daughter of Enoch Dodson and Elizabeth LEgett.¹ She married Samuel Agnew, son of Samuel Agnew and Elizabeth Seawright. She died in 1851.¹
     Her married name became Agnew.¹

     John Browne was the son of Josias Browne and Joan Birmingham.¹ He married Mary Browne, daughter of Sir Dominick Browne and Anastacia Darcy, in 1626.¹ He died in 1670.¹ He was buried at Ross Abbey, County Galway, Ireland.¹
     John Browne was created 1st Baronet Browne, of the Neale, near Ballinrobe, co. Mayo [Nova Scotia] on 21 June 1636, although he did not assume the title.¹

     Josias Browne was born circa 1579.¹ He died in December 1634.¹ He was buried in December 1634 at Kilmaine, Ireland.¹
