Mary Aylmer is the daughter of Matthew Aylmer and Margaret Mathew.1 She married Valentine Browne, 1st Earl of Kenmare, son of Sir Thomas Browne, 6th Bt. and Anne Cooke, on 24 August 1785 at Lyons, County Kildare, Ireland.1
From 24 August 1785, her married name became Browne.1 As a result of her marriage, Mary Aylmer was styled as Viscountess Kenmare on 12 February 1798.1 As a result of her marriage, Mary Aylmer was styled as Countess of Kenmare on 2 January 1801.
