Edward O'Neill, 2nd Baron O'Neill was born on 31 December 1839. He was the son of William Chichester, 1st Baron O'Neill and Henrietta Torrens. He married Lady Louisa Katherine Emma Cochrane, daughter of Thomas Barnes Cochrane, 11th Earl of Dundonald and Louisa Harriet Mackinnon, on 30 June 1873.2 He died on 19 November 1928 at age 88.
