Sir Reginald Hervey Hoare was born on 19 July 1882. He was the son of Charles Hoare. He married Lucy Joan Cavendish-Bentinck, daughter of William George Frederick Cavendish-Bentinck and Ruth Mary St. Maur, on 9 November 1922. He died on 12 August 1954 at age 72.
