     Anne Bruce is the daughter of Sir William Bruce, 1st Bt. and Mary Halkett.1 She married, firstly, Sir Thomas Hope, 4th Bt..1 She married, secondly, Sir John Carstairs.1
     Her married name became Carstairs.1 Her married name became Hope.1
     Her children inherited the estate of Kinross, on taking the name of Bruce of Kinross.1

     Sir Edward Bruce of Stenhouse is the son of Robert Bruce of Clackmannan and Isabel Stewart.1,2 He married Agnes Airth, daughter of Sir William Airth of Airth, circa 1417.1
     Stenhouse, also in Stirling, also belonged to this branch of the Bruces, who were for a time styled either ‘of Stenhouse’ or ‘of Airth’.1
