     John Hamilton, 1st of Broomhill was born illegitimately before 1479.2 He was the son of James Hamilton, 1st Lord Hamilton and Janet Calderwood.2 He married Elizabeth Hamilton of Udston, daughter of Patrick Hamilton, 3rd of Udston and Isabel Lindsay.1 He married Margaret Dalzell, daughter of Robert Dalzell of that Ilk and unknown wife (?).3 He died circa 1550.2
     On 20 January 1512/13 his birth was legitimised.2 He lived at Broomhill, Fife, ScotlandG.1

     Sir John Poyntz was born circa 1560.2 He was the son of Sir Nicholas Poyntz and Anne Verney.3 He married, firstly, Ursula Sydenham, daughter of Sir John Sydenham and Ursula Brydges.3 He married, thirdly, Frances Newton, daughter of John Newton.3 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Sydenham, daughter of Alexander Sydenham.2 He married, fourthly, Grissell Roberts, daughter of Walter Roberts, on 2 June 1600.2 He died circa November 1633.3 He was buried on 29 November 1633.3
     He was appointed Knight. He held the office of Sheriff of Glocuestershire in 1591.3 He was Knight of the Shire in 1592.3 He lived at Iron Acton, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.3

     Janet Livingston was born circa 1395.2 She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Livingston of Callendar and Janet Dundas.1,3 She married, firstly, Sir James Hamilton, 5th of Cadzow, son of Sir John Hamilton, 4th of Cadzow and Janet Douglas, circa 20 October 1422.1 She married, secondly, Sir Robert Bruce of Airth, son of Sir Edward Bruce of Stenhouse and Agnes Airth.4
     Her married name became Bruce.4 From circa 20 October 1422, her married name became Hamilton.

     Sir Alexander Livingston of Callendar was the son of Sir John Livingston of Callendar and Marjorie Menteith.2 He married Janet Dundas, daughter of John de Dundas and Joan Douglas.2 He died before 6 November 1451.2
     He held the office of Governor of Scotland, during King James II's minority.3 He lived at Callendar, Stirlingshire, ScotlandG.4
