     Sir Robert Bruce of Airth was born circa 1472.2 He was the son of John Bruce of Stenhouse and Elizabeth Menteith.3 He married Eupheme Montgomerie, daughter of Alexander Montgomerie, Master of Montgomerie and Catherine Kennedy, circa 1494.3,4 He died on 9 February 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England, killed in action.4
     He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 February 1513.4

     He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Hope, of Craighall [N.S., 1628].1

     Sir David Bruce of Clackmannan is the son of Sir David Bruce of Clackmannan and Mariot Herries.2 He married Janet Blackadder, daughter of Sir Patrick Blackadder of Tulliallan.2
      In 1497 Clackmannan was settled on him by his father.2

     She was also known as Mariot.2 Her married name became Bruce.1 Her married name became Sinclair.2
