     Lt.-Gen. Sir Gerald Francis Ellison gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the service of the Royal Warwicks Regiment.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.).1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1
