     Canon Lloyd Stewart Bruce was born on 1 August 1829.2 He was the son of Sir James Robertson Bruce, 2nd Bt. and Ellen Hesketh.2 He married, firstly, Jane Skene, daughter of James H. Skene, on 6 October 1863.2 He married, secondly, Anne (?) on 1 June 1881.3 He died on 19 March 1886 at age 56.3
     Canon Lloyd Stewart Bruce graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).2 He was the Chaplain to the Archbishop of York.2
He was the Rector at Stokesley, Yorkshire, England.2 He held the office of Canon of York.2

     Alexander Friedrich Wilhelm Albrecht Georg Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel gained the title of Prinz von Hessen-Kassel.2 He succeeded to the title of Landgraf Alexander Friedrich von Hessen-Kassel on 14 October 1888.2 He abdicated as Landgrave of Hesse-Cassel on 15 March 1925.2
