     John Buchan of Letham is the son of George Buchan of Kelloe and Ann Hay.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Hepburn, daughter of Patrick Hepburn of Smeaton Hepburn and Marion Suttie.1 He married, secondly, Anne Broun, daughter of Charles Broun of Cleghornie, in 1790.2 He died on 21 November 1792.2
