     Brig.-Gen. John Hobart was the son of Sir John Hobart, 3rd Bt. and Mary Hampden.1 He died on 7 November 1734.1
     Brig.-Gen. John Hobart held the office of Governor of Pendennis Castle.1 He was Brigadier-General.1

     Reverend Dixon Edward Hoste was born on 23 July 1861.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Dixon Edward Hoste and Mary Scott.1 He married Amelia Gertrude Broomhall, daughter of Benjamin Broomhall and Amelia (?), on 6 September 1894 at Tianjin, China.1 He died on 11 May 1946 at age 84 at London, England.1
     Reverend Dixon Edward Hoste was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was a missionary between February 1885 and 1945 at China.1

     Amelia Gertrude Broomhall was the daughter of Benjamin Broomhall and Amelia (?).1 She married Reverend Dixon Edward Hoste, son of Maj.-Gen. Dixon Edward Hoste and Mary Scott, on 6 September 1894 at Tianjin, China.1 She died on 12 April 1944 at Shanghai, China.1
     From 6 September 1894, her married name became Hoste.1

     William Hudson Hoste was born in 1901.1 He was the son of Reverend Dixon Edward Hoste and Amelia Gertrude Broomhall.1 He died in 1985.1
