     Sir Herbert Dudley Burbidge, 5th Bt. was born on 13 November 1904.1 He was the son of Herbert Edward Burbidge and Harriet Georgina Hamilton.1 He married Ruby Bly Taylor, daughter of Charles Ethelbert Taylor, in 1933.1 He died on 13 March 2001 at age 96.1
     Sir Herbert Dudley Burbidge, 5th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Dudley.1 He was educated at University School, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.1 He was with Harrods between 1929 and 1931.1 He was merchandising manager for Silverwood Industries between 1931 and 1970 at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Burbidge, of Littleton, co. Middlesex [U.K., 1916] in 1974.1
