     Colonel Hon. John Scott Napier was born on 13 November 1848.2 He was the son of Francis Napier and Anne Jane Charlotte Lockwood.3 He married Isabella Shaw, daughter of Thomas Shaw, on 6 April 1876.1 He married Eva Ingledew Davidson, daughter of Charles Selby Davidson, in December 1928.4 He died on 9 March 1938 at age 89.1
     He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).1 He was Colonel Gordon Hldrs, Inspr Army Gymnasia , served Afghanistan 1878–80 at Battle of Kandahar (despatches three times), S Africa 1881 and 1900 (despatches) in 1897.2

     James Forbes, 15th Lord Forbes was born in 1689.1 He was the son of William Forbes, 12th Lord Forbes and Anne Brodie.1 He married, firstly, Mary Forbes, daughter of Alexander Forbes, 3rd Lord Forbes of Pitsligo and Lady Sophia Erskine, in 1715.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Gordon, daughter of Sir James Gordon of Park, Bt., in 1741.1 He died on 20 February 1761.1
     He succeeded to the title of 15th Lord Forbes [S., 1445] on 8 August 1734.1

     Alexander Forbes, 3rd Lord Forbes of Pitsligo was born circa 1655.1 He was the son of Alexander Forbes, 2nd Lord Forbes of Pitsligo and Lady Mary Erskine.1,2 He married Lady Sophia Erskine, daughter of John Erskine, 21st/4th Earl of Mar and Jean Mackenzie, in 1676.3 He died in December 1690.1
     He succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Forbes of Pitsligo [S., 1633] circa 1690.3
