     David Brodie, 14th of Brodie was born in 1586.2 He was the son of David Brodie, 13th of Brodie and Janet Hay.1,2 He married Katherine Dunbar, daughter of Thomas Dunbar and Grisell Crichton, before 1616.3 He died on 22 September 1623.4
     David Brodie, 14th of Brodie held the position of 14th Chief of Clan Brodie.1

     Alexander Brodie of Brodie, Lord Brodie was born on 25 July 1617.1 He was the son of David Brodie, 14th of Brodie and Katherine Dunbar.1,2 He married Elizabeth Innes, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Innes of that Ilk, 1st Bt. and Grizel Stuart. He died in 1679.2
     Alexander Brodie of Brodie, Lord Brodie held the position of 15th Chief of Clan Brodie in 1632.1 He was created Lord Brodie [Scottish Law Lord] in 1657.1 He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland] between 1657 and 1661.1

     James Brodie, 16th of Brodie was born on 15 September 1637.1 He was the son of Alexander Brodie of Brodie, Lord Brodie and Elizabeth Innes.1,2 He married Lady Mary Kerr, daughter of Sir William Kerr, 1st Earl of Lothian and Anne Kerr, on 28 July 1659.1 He died in March 1708 at age 70, without male issue.1
     James Brodie, 16th of Brodie held the position of 16th Chief of Clan Brodie circa 1661.1 In 1685 he was fined £24,000, presumably for supporting the Duke of monmouth in his bid for the throne.1
     He had seven other daughters.1
