     Hon. Ellinor Alice Napier was the daughter of Captain William John Napier, 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Eliza Cochrane-Johnstone.2 She was also reported to have been married on 10 November 1853.1 She married Hon. George Grey Dalrymple, son of North Hamilton Dalrymple, 9th Earl of Stair and Martha Willett Dalrymple, on 30 October 1853 at Bothwell, Lanarkshire, Scotland.3 She died on 11 May 1903.1
     From 30 October 1853, her married name became Dalrymple.3

     Hon. George Grey Dalrymple was born on 22 May 1832.2 He was the son of North Hamilton Dalrymple, 9th Earl of Stair and Martha Willett Dalrymple.2 He married Hon. Ellinor Alice Napier, daughter of Captain William John Napier, 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Eliza Cochrane-Johnstone, on 30 October 1853 at Bothwell, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 He was also reported to have been married on 10 November 1853.1 He died on 30 November 1900 at age 68.3
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scots Guards.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lanarkshire.3 He lived at Elliston, St. Boswell's, Lanarkshire, Scotland.3

Julia Gore.2,3 She married Francis Napier, 10th Lord Napier of Merchistoun, son of Captain William John Napier, 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Eliza Cochrane-Johnstone, on 2 September 1845.1 She died on 24 August 1911.1
     She was appointed Imperial Order of the Crown of India (C.I.)1 From 2 September 1845, her married name became Napier.

     William John George Napier, 11th Lord Napier of Merchistoun was born on 22 September 1846.2 He was the son of Francis Napier, 10th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Anne Jane Charlotte Lockwood.2 He married, firstly, Harriet Blake Armstrong Lumb, daughter of Edward Lumb, on 5 January 1876.2 He married, secondly, Grace Burns, daughter of James Cleland Burns, on 19 July 1898.2 He died on 6 December 1913 at age 67.2
     He was Secretary of Legation, Stockholm between 1887 and 1888.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Selkirkshire.2 He was Chargé d'Affaires, Tokyo between 1888 and 1891.2 He succeeded as the 11th Lord Napier of Merchistoun [S., 1627] on 19 December 1898.2 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Scott, of Thirlestane [N.S., 1666] on 19 December 1898.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Ettrick of Ettrick, co. Selkirk [U.K., 1872] on 19 December 1898.2
