     Elizabeth Muriel Philippa Maclean was born on 10 June 1927.1 She was the daughter of Alexander John Hew Maclean, 16th of Ardgour and Hon. Muriel Annette Burns.1 She married Reverend Adam Ronald Rentoul Torrie on 27 October 1948.2 She died on 28 December 2009 at age 82.3
     She graduated from St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, ScotlandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)4 From 27 October 1948, her married name became Torrie.2

     Reverend Adam Ronald Rentoul Torrie married Elizabeth Muriel Philippa Maclean, daughter of Alexander John Hew Maclean, 16th of Ardgour and Hon. Muriel Annette Burns, on 27 October 1948.1 He died on 26 June 1996.1
     He graduated from St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, ScotlandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Divinity.2 Reverend Adam Ronald Rentoul Torrie usually went by his middle name of Ronald.
