     Richard Penruddocke Long was born on 19 December 1825 at East Coulston, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Walter Long and Mary Anne Colquhoun.1 He was baptised on 4 July 1827 at Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2 He married Charlotte Anna Hume, daughter of Rt. Hon. William Wentworth Fitzwilliam Dick and Margaret Bruce Chaloner, on 4 October 1853 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 16 February 1875 at age 49 at Cannes, FranceG.1,2 He was buried on 3 March 1875 at West Ashton, Wiltshire, EnglandG.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in 1848 in the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry Cavalry.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1852 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Montgomeryshire in 1858.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chippenham in 1859.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Wiltshire between 1865 and 1868.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Montgomeryshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Montgomeryshire.1 He lived at Rood Ashton, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Dolforgan Hall, Montgomeryshire, Wales.1

     He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was the Rector in 1854 at Hilperton, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1

     From September 1844, her married name became Duppa.1 From 1868, her married name became Green.1
