John Johnstone and Caroline Pankel, on 4 December 1865 at St. Peter's Church, Eaton Square, London, England.¹ He died on 20 January 1888 at age 58 at Shadwell Court, Norfolk, England, without male issue.¹
     Sir Robert Jacob Buxton, 3rd Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Buxton, of Shadwell Lodge, co. Norfolk [G.B., 1800] on 13 October 1842.¹ He matriculated at Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 27 May 1847.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Norfolk in 1870.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South East Norfolk from April 1871 to 1885.¹
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹
