     Rt. Rev. Harold Jocelyn Buxton was born on 20 June 1880.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, 3rd Bt. and Lady Victoria Noel.2
     Rt. Rev. Harold Jocelyn Buxton was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1901 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1905 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was the Vicar between 1914 and 1918 at Horley, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was Secretary of the Lord Mayor's Armenian Relief Fund between 1918 and 1926.1 He was the Chaplain between 1926 and 1927 at St. George's Cathedral, Jerusalem, Israel.1 He was the Chaplain between 1927 and 1931 at St. Paul's, Nicosia, Cyprus.1 He held the office of Archdeacon of Cyprus between 1928 and 1933.1 He held the office of Bishop of Gibraltar between 1933 and 1947.1 He was Sub-Prelate Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.).1 He was the Rector between 1949 and 1953 at Lauton, England.1 He was decorated with the Order of George I of Greece.1 He was decorated with the Order of the Star of Romania (1st class).1 He was decorated with the Order of St. Sava of Yugoslavia.1
