     Captain James Sinclair was the son of David Sinclair and Margaret More.2 He died on 11 January 1788 at Whitcomb Street, London, England, without issue.1,3
     Captain James Sinclair gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Honourable East India Company Service.1 In 1765 he unsuccessfully claimed the Earldom of Caithness and again in 1779.1
