     Rear-Admiral Lord John Hay was born on 1 April 1793. He was the son of George Hay, 7th Marquess of Tweeddale and Lady Hannah Charlotte Maitland. He married Mary Anne Cameron, daughter of Donald Cameron of Lochiel, 22nd Chief of Clan Cameron and Hon. Anne Abercromby, on 2 September 1846.1 He died on 26 August 1851 at age 58.
     Rear-Admiral Lord John Hay gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy.

Anne Abercromby.2 She married Rear-Admiral Lord John Hay, son of George Hay, 7th Marquess of Tweeddale and Lady Hannah Charlotte Maitland, on 2 September 1846.1 She died on 30 November 1850, without issue.1
     From 2 September 1846, her married name became Hay.

     Caroline Anne Ripley is the daughter of H. D. Ripley.1 She married Sir Ewen James Hanning Cameron, Baron Cameron of Dillington, son of Major Allan John Cameron and Mary Elizabeth Vaughan-Lee, in 1975.1
     From 1975, her married name became Cameron.1 As a result of her marriage, Caroline Anne Ripley was styled as Baroness Cameron of Dillington on 29 June 2004.
