     Major Alexander Tatton Bardwell was the son of Tatton Botfield Bardwell.2 He married Jean Abercromby Cameron, daughter of Ralph Abercromby Cameron and Muriel Hoare, on 24 January 1948.1 He died between 27 January 1948 and 29 January 1948, lost on board the Star Tiger aircraft off Bermuda.1
     Major Alexander Tatton Bardwell gained the rank of Major in the service of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.1
