     Robert Carew was the son of Robert Carew and Anne Hyde.2 He married Anne Lynn, daughter of Andrew Lynn.1 He died in 1708.1
     Robert Carew held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Wexford.1 On 9 February 1668 he acquired large estates in County Wexford by patent and then by purchases in 1669 and 1680.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Wexford in 1686.1 He lived at Ballyboro, County Wexford, Ireland.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Waterford in 1703.1
     He also had five other daughters.1
