     Matilda Lockhart-Ross was the daughter of Sir Charles Lockhart-Ross, 7th Bt. and Matilda Theresa Lockhart-Wishart.1,2 She married Admiral Sir Thomas John Cochrane, son of Admiral Hon. Sir Alexander Forrester Cochrane and Maria Shaw, on 6 January 1812.1 She died on 4 September 1819.1
     Matilda Lockhart-Ross usually went by her middle name of Cochrane-Wishart.3 From 6 January 1812, her married name became Cochrane.1

Mary Carmichael is the daughter of Sir James Carmichael, 1st Lord Carmichael and Agnes Wilkie.1 She married, firstly, Sir William Lockhart of Carstairs, son of Sir James Lockhart of Lee, on 2 September 1647.1 She married by contract, secondly, Sir William Weir of Stonebyres on 31 January 1652.1
     From 2 September 1647, her married name became Lockhart.1 From 31 January 1652, her married name became Weir.1
