Sybil Mary Marshall

     Sybil Mary Marshall was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Frederick Marshall and Adelaide Laura Howard.1 She married, firstly, Colonel William Arnold Webster Levy-Lawson, 3rd Baron Burnham, son of Edward Levy-Lawson, 1st Baron Burnham and Harriette Georgiana Webster, in 1887.2 She and Colonel William Arnold Webster Levy-Lawson, 3rd Baron Burnham were divorced in 1912.2 She married, secondly, Gavin George Hamilton, 2nd Baron Hamilton of Dalzell, son of John Glencairn Carter Hamilton, 1st Baron Hamilton of Dalzell and Lady Emily Eleanor Leslie-Melville, on 24 July 1912.3 She died on 3 May 1933.2
     From 1887, her married name became Lawson. From 1912, her married name became Levy-Lawson.2 From 24 July 1912, her married name became Hamilton. After her marriage, Sybil Mary Marshall was styled as Baroness Hamilton of Dalzell on 24 July 1912.

     Sir Thomas Digby Legard, 8th Bt. was born on 30 May 1803.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Legard, 7th Bt. and Sarah Bishop.2 He married Hon. Frances Duncombe, daughter of Charles Duncombe, 1st Baron Feversham of Duncombe Park and Lady Charlotte Legge, on 31 May 1832.1 He died on 10 December 1860 at age 57.2
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Legard, of Ganton, co. York [E., 1660] on 5 July 1830.1 He lived at Ganton, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1

     Lady Anne Lindsay was the daughter of John Lindsay, 17th Earl of Crawford and Lady Margaret Hamilton.3,1 She married John Leslie, 1st Duke of Rothes, son of John Leslie, 6th Earl of Rothes and Lady Anne Erskine, on 2 February 1647/48.1 She died after 1 July 1689.1
     After her marriage, Lady Anne Lindsay was styled as Countess of Rothes on 2 February 1647/48. From 2 February 1647/48, her married name became Leslie. After her marriage, Lady Anne Lindsay was styled as Duchess of Rothes on 29 May 1680.

     William Lindsay, 18th Earl of Crawford was born in April 1644.1 He was the son of John Lindsay, 17th Earl of Crawford and Lady Margaret Hamilton.1 He married, firstly, Lady Mary Johnstone, daughter of James Johnstone, 1st Earl of Annandale and Hartfell and Lady Henrietta Douglas, on 8 March 1670.2 He married, secondly, Lady Henrietta Seton, daughter of Charles Seton, 2nd Earl of Dunfermline and Lady Mary Douglas, after 1681.2 He died on 6 March 1698 at age 53.2 His will was proven (by probate) on 7 September 1698.2
     He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Lindsay [S., 1633] in 1678.1 He succeeded as the 18th Earl of Crawford [S., 1398] in 1678.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Parbroath [S., 1633] in 1678.1 He succeeded as the 11th Lord Lindsay of the Byres [S., 1444] in 1678.3 He held the office of Commissioner of the Treasury [Scotland] between 1689 and 1692.1 He held the office of President of the Council [Scotland] between 1689 and 1693.1 He held the office of President of the Parliament [Scotland].1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] on 3 June 1690.1
