     Catherine Farquharson was born on 4 May 1774.1 She was the daughter of James Farquharson and Amelia (?).2 She married Captain James Ross on 16 June 1799.1 She died on 27 February 1845 at age 70.1
     Catherine Farquharson was Royal Navy (who assumed the name of FARQUHARSON.1 In 1815 recognized as Chief by Lord Lyon and matric arms at LO.1

     James Farquharson was born on 25 April 1808.3 He is the son of Captain James Ross and Catherine Farquharson.2 He married Janet Hamilton Dundas, daughter of General Francis Dundas of Sanson, on 30 April 1833.3 He died on 20 November 1862 at age 54.3
     James Farquharson was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).3 He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.).3

     Amelia Farquharson was the daughter of Captain James Ross and Catherine Farquharson.2 She married Sir Francis Grant on 19 April 1826.1 She died in 1827, issue (see BLG 1937 NISBET-HAMILTON-GRANT OF BIEL AND DIRLETON).1
     Her married name became Grant.
