     Savile Brinton Crossley, 1st Baron Somerleyton was born on 14 June 1857.2 He was the son of Sir Francis Crossley, 1st Bt. and Martha Eliza Brinton.2 He married Phyllis de Bathe, daughter of General Sir Gerald Henry Perceval de Bathe, 4th Bt. and Charlotte Clare, on 14 December 1887.2 He died on 25 February 1935 at age 77.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Crossley [U.K., 1863] on 5 January 1872.2 He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Unionist) for North Suffolk between 1885 and 1892.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Suffolk in 1896.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Suffolk.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Unionist) for Halifax between 1900 and 1906.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1902.2 He held the office of Paymaster-General of the Forces between 1902 and 1905.2 He was Colonel of the Prince of Wales Own Norfolk, Royal Garrison Artillery between 1906 and 1909.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1909.2 He gained the rank of Major between 1915 and 1916 in the 1st Suffolk Yeomanry.2 He was created 1st Baron Somerleyton, of Somerleyton, co. Suffolk [U.K.] on 26 June 1916.2 He held the office of a Lord in Waiting between 1918 and 1924.2 He was appointed Knight of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.G.St.J.)2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1922.2

     From 4 June 1915, her married name became Rideout. From 17 December 1929, her married name became Jeffcock.1

     Commander Ernest Henry Rideout was the son of Maj.-Gen. unknown Rideout.2 He married Margaret Renée Cayley, daughter of Sir George Everard Arthur Cayley, 9th Bt. and Lady Mary Susan Montagu-Stuart-Wortley, on 4 June 1915.1 He died on 8 January 1923.1
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1
