Sir John Chernock, 1st Bt. was born circa 1619.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Chernock and Anne St. John.1 He married, firstly, Audrey Villiers, daughter of Sir William Villiers, 1st Bt. and Anne Fiennes, before 1640.2 He married, secondly, Margaret Harris on 21 February 1665 at Hulcote, Bedfordshire, England.2 He died in March 1680.1
Sir John Chernock, 1st Bt. was admitted to Gray's Inn on 5 August 1620.2 He was created 1st Baronet Chernock, of Holcot [Hulcote], co. Bedford [England] on 21 May 1661.1

Sir Villiers Chernock, 2nd Bt. held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire from 1680 to 1681.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Chernock, of Holcot [Hulcote], co. Bedford [E., 1661] in March 1680.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between 1685 and 1687.1
