     Augustus Frederick Gore was born on 1 February 1826.1 He was the son of Captain Hon. Edward Gore and Mary Anne Douglas.1 He married Eliza Arabella Austin, daughter of Rt. Rev. William P. Austin, on 26 January 1861.1 He died on 21 September 1887 at age 61.1
     He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of St. Vincent.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.).1
