     Sophia Tatton was born at Wythenshaw Hall, Northenden, England.1 She is the daughter of Thomas William Tatton and Emma Grey.1 She married Lt.-Col. John Dixon, son of John Dixon and Lydia Parker, on 14 May 1840.2 She died in 1885.2
     From 14 May 1840, her married name became Dixon.
