     Rita Frances Manning Hazeland was born in 1903.2 She was the daughter of Ernest Manning Hazeland and Helene Hanish.1,2 She married Vice-Admiral Edward Russell Gibson, 3rd Baron Ashbourne, son of Hon. Edward Graves Mayne Gibson and Mary Phillips Greg, on 20 July 1929.1 She died on 20 January 1996.3
     From 20 July 1929, her married name became Gibson.1 As a result of her marriage, Rita Frances Manning Hazeland was styled as Baroness Ashbourne on 21 January 1942.

     Lt.-Col. Godfrey Pemberton Murray was born on 13 June 1901.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Arthur Mordaunt Murray and Mabel Meliora Nicholson.1 He married Mabel Isabel Brownlee, daughter of Dr. D. Brownlee, on 3 December 1934.1 He died in 1985.1
     Lt.-Col. Godfrey Pemberton Murray was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Seaforth Highlanders.1 He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1945.1 He held the office of Queen's Messenger in 1951.1 He held the office of Superintendant of the Queen's Messengers between 1957 and 1985.1
