     James Clark was born on 12 September 1747.1 He was the son of William Clark and Agnes Bryson.2 He married Margaret Campbell, daughter of Andrew Campbell, on 8 October 1768.1 He died on 6 October 1829 at age 82.1
     James Clark lived at Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 He had two other sons and seven daughters.1
