     Sir John Maurice Clark, 2nd Bt. was born on 7 March 1859.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Clark, 1st Bt. and Eliza Maule Davidson.2 He married Helen Marder Douglas, daughter of Reverend Henry M. Douglas, on 3 June 1885.1 He died on 27 May 1924 at age 65.1
     Sir John Maurice Clark, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Clark, of Melville Crescent, Edinburgh [U.K., 1886] on 24 December 1900.1 He was Lieutenant-Colonel and Honorary Colonel of the 7th Battalion, Royal Scots between 1905 and 1910.1 He was decorated with the award of Reserve Officers' Decoration (V.D.).1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Midlothian.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Edinburgh.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.).1
