     Hon. Sylvia Benita Frances Hotham was the daughter of Frederick William Hotham, 6th Baron Hotham of South Dalton and Eliza Benita Sanders.3,4 She married Ralph Assheton, 1st Baron Clitheroe, son of Sir Ralph Cockayne Assheton, 1st Bt. and Mildred Estelle Sybella Master, on 24 January 1924.1 She died circa 14 January 1991.1,5
     Hon. Sylvia Benita Frances Hotham was invested as a Fellow, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (F.R.I.C.S.).1 From 24 January 1924, her married name became Assheton. As a result of her marriage, Hon. Sylvia Benita Frances Hotham was styled as Baroness Clitheroe on 20 June 1955.
