Cecil Chaplin was born on 1 March 1844.2 He was the son of Reverend Henry Chaplin and Caroline Horatia Ellice.2 He married Emily Cecilia Boyle, daughter of Colonel Hon. Robert Edward Boyle and Georgiana Robarts, on 20 January 1870.1 He died on 28 December 1909 at age 65.2
