     Charlotte Hunter was the daughter of William Hunter and Charlotte Robertson.2 She married Alexander Elphinstone of Glack, son of John Elphinstone of Glack and Maria Prudence Robertson, on 28 June 1831.3 She died on 24 January 1859 at Chawton Milton, Hampshire, England, in tragic circumstances.2
     From 28 June 1831, her married name became Elphinstone.2
