     John Elphinstone of Glack was born on 16 December 1834.1 He was the son of Alexander Elphinstone of Glack and Charlotte Hunter.1 He married Emma Eliza Betham, daughter of Robert Grant Betham, on 20 March 1875.1 He was also reported to have been married on 28 March 1875 at Dapoli, Bombay, India.2 He died on 30 June 1893 at age 58.1
     He was in the Bombay Civil Service.3 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Elphinstone, of Logie Elphinstone, co. Aberdeen and Nova Scotia [N.S., 1701] on 28 November 1888, de jure.3

     Emma Eliza Betham was born on 31 July 1858.2 She was the daughter of Robert Grant Betham.3 She was baptised on 30 September 1858 at Bombay, India.2 She married John Elphinstone of Glack, son of Alexander Elphinstone of Glack and Charlotte Hunter, on 20 March 1875.4 She was also reported to have been married on 28 March 1875 at Dapoli, Bombay, India.2 She died on 20 March 1936 at age 77.4
     From 20 March 1875, her married name became Elphinstone.4

     Alexander Elphinstone was born on 23 November 1841.2 He was also reported to have been born on 24 November 1840.1 He was the son of Alexander Elphinstone of Glack and Charlotte Hunter.1 He was baptised on 10 December 1841 at Bycullah, Bombay, India.2 He married Louisa Pillans.1 He died on 9 August 1881 at age 39, without issue.1

     James Butler, 10th Baron Dunboyne was the son of James Butler, 9th Baron Dunboyne and Catherine Reagh.1 He married Lady Joan Butler, daughter of Piers Butler, 8th Earl of Ormonde and Lady Margaret FitzGerald, before 6 May 1519.2 He died on 15 January 1538.3 He was also reported to have died on 28 January 1533/34.2
     He succeeded as the 10th Baron Dunboyne [I., 1324] in 1508.1 He lived at Dunboyne, County Meath, IrelandG.4
