     Lady Helen Guendolen Seymour was the daughter of Edward Adolphus Seymour, 12th Duke of Somerset and Jane Georgiana Sheridan.1 She married Sir John William Ramsden, 5th Bt., son of John Charles Ramsden and Hon. Isabella Dundas, on 2 August 1865.1 She died on 14 August 1910.2
      From 2 August 1865, her married name became Ramsden.1

     Sir John William Ramsden, 5th Bt. was born on 14 September 1831.2 He was the son of John Charles Ramsden and Hon. Isabella Dundas.2 He married Lady Helen Guendolen Seymour, daughter of Edward Adolphus Seymour, 12th Duke of Somerset and Jane Georgiana Sheridan, on 2 August 1865.1 He died on 15 April 1914 at age 82.2
     He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Ramsden, of Byrom, co. York [U.K., 1689] on 15 July 1839.2 He was decorated with the award of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers' Decoration (V.D.).2 He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Taunton between 1853 and 1857.2 He gained the rank of Honorary-Colonel in the service of the West Riding Brigade, Royal Field Artillery.2 He was an Under-Secretary between 1857 and 1858.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hythe between 1857 and 1859.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Riding, Yorkshire between 1859 and 1865.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1868.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Monmouth between 1868 and 1874.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Inverness.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Divison, West Riding, Yorkshire between 1880 and 1885.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Osgoldeross between 1885 and 1886.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Yorkshire.2
