     Clive Frederick Bowman was born on 3 February 1884.1 He was the son of John Frederick Bowman and Cecilia Charrington.2 He married Erica Violet Wardlaw-Ramsay, daughter of Colonel Robert George Wardlaw-Ramsay, on 10 April 1920.1 He died on 11 February 1972 at age 88.1
     Clive Frederick Bowman was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1905 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) ).1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Army Service Corps.1 He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.).1 He was the Bursar between 1920 and 1946 at Wellington College, Berkshire, England.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire between 1928 and 1946.1
