     Lt.-Col. Sir John Ramsay was born on 5 December 1862.1 He was the son of General Hon. Sir Henry Ramsay and Laura Lushington.1 He married Margaret Henvey, daughter of Frederick Henvey, on 9 March 1889.1 He died on 2 March 1942 at age 79.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.1 He was Political Resident of Baghdad between 1906 and 1909.1 He was Political Resident of Kashmir between 1909 and 1911.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1911.1 He was Chief Commissioner and Agent to the Governor-General of Baluchistan between 1911 and 1917.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1915.1

     Margaret Henvey was the daughter of Frederick Henvey.1 She married Lt.-Col. Sir John Ramsay, son of General Hon. Sir Henry Ramsay and Laura Lushington, on 9 March 1889.1 She died on 2 January 1946.1
     From 9 March 1889, her married name became Ramsay.1 She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1917.1

     From 4 January 1916, her married name became Roche.1

Arthur Wellesley Roche was born circa 1842.2 He married Louisa Mary Johnson, daughter of Sir Henry Franks Frederic Johnson, 3rd Bt. and Emma Patty Barclay, on 5 July 1887.3 He died on 17 November 1897 at Elham, Kent, England.3,2 He was buried on 20 November 1897 at Christ Church, Flokestone, Kent, England.2
     He gained the rank of Surgeon-Lieutenant-Commander in the Army Medical Service.3
