     James Coats of Dykehead is the son of James Coates of Dykehead and Jane McGie.2 He married Jean Graham, daughter of Patrick Graham of Lymekilns, on 20 December 1706.1
     He was a portioner of Easter Kitochsyde.1 On 12 June 1711 he had sasine of Dykehead.1

     James Coats of Dykehead was baptised on 7 December 1707.1 He was the son of James Coats of Dykehead and Jean Graham.2 He married Agnes Tod, daughter of George Tod, on 13 February 1736.1
