     Claude Plunkett Coghill was born on 13 November 1859.¹ He was the son of Sir John Joscelyn Coghill, 4th Bt. and Hon. Katherine Frances Plunket.² He married Maude Mary McVeagh, daughter of Ferdinand McVeagh, on 25 June 1885.¹ He died on 27 September 1922 at age 62.³
     Claude Plunkett Coghill held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Meath.¹

John Kendal Plunket Coghill was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England.³ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 1st Battalion, South Wales Borderers.³ He retired from the military in 1976, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps.¹ He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1990.¹ He lived in 2003 at 8 East Meads, Onslow Village, Guildford, Surrey, England.¹
