     Edward Montagu, 3rd Earl of Sandwich was born on 10 April 1670 at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London, England.2 He was the son of Edward Montagu, 2nd Earl of Sandwich and Lady Anne Boyle.1,2 He married Elizabeth Wilmot, daughter of John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester and Elizabeth Malet, on 8 July 1689. He died on 20 October 1729 at age 59.
     Edward Montagu, 3rd Earl of Sandwich gained the title of 3rd Earl of Sandwich.
