Sir John Feilding was born in 1721.3 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Edmund Feilding and Eleanor Blanchfield.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Whittingham, daughter of Dr. unknown Whittingham, on 17 October 1751.3 He died on 4 September 1780, without issue.4
Sir John Feilding adopted Mary Ann Whittingham.1 He was a magistrate at Bow Street.3 He was invested as a Knight in 1761.3 He was blind from birth.3
