     Sir Archibald Bruce Charles Edmonstone of Duntreath, 7th Bt. was born on 3 August 1934.1 He is the son of Sir Archibald Charles Edmonstone of Duntreath, 6th Bt. and Gwendolyn Mary Field.3 He married, firstly, Jane Colville, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Edward Charles Colville and Barbara Joan Denny, on 17 January 1957.3 He and Jane Colville were divorced in 1968.3 He married, secondly, Juliet Elizabeth Deakin, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Cecil Martin Fothergill Deakin and Evelyn Mary Frances Grant, on 24 June 1969.1
