     Kate de la Rue was the daughter of William Frederick de la Rue.2 She married Charles Calveley Cotton, son of Charles Robert Cotton and Mary Anne Elizabeth Egerton, on 9 October 1873.1 She died on 7 September 1936.1
     From 9 October 1873, her married name became Cotton.

     Charles William Egerton Cotton was born on 14 August 1874.1 He was the son of Charles Calveley Cotton and Kate de la Rue.2 He married Violet Mainwaring, daughter of Sir Philip Tatton Mainwaring, 4th Bt., on 12 December 1925.1 He died on 6 September 1931 at age 57.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was with the Indian Civil Service.1 He was Chief Secretary of the Government of Madras.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1920.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1931.1

Lt.-Col. Ronald Egerton Cotton1

     Lt.-Col. Ronald Egerton Cotton was born on 8 March 1876.1 He was the son of Charles Calveley Cotton and Kate de la Rue.2 He married Hilda Inglis, daughter of Captain Charles Dickson Inglis, on 8 February 1917.1 He died on 3 September 1932 at age 56.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Service Battalion, Yorkshire Regiment.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches three times.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.1
