     Brig.-Gen. Gilbert Burrell Spencer Follett was the son of John Skirrow Follett and Blanche Katherine K. Hayley.2,3 He married Lady Mildred Murray, daughter of Charles Adolphus Murray, 7th Earl of Dunmore and Lady Gertrude Coke, on 30 June 1904.2 He died on 27 September 1918, killed in action.2
     Brig.-Gen. Gilbert Burrell Spencer Follett fought in the First World War.2 He was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.).1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the service of the Coldstream Guards.1 He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1
