Sir Richard Hastings, 1st and last Bt. was born in 1610 at Chelsea, Middlesex, England.3 He was the son of Sir Henry Hastings and Mabel Faunt.2 He married Margaret Poyntz, daughter of Sir Robert Poyntz and Frances Gibbons, on 16 February 1646/47.1 He died circa August 1668.2 He was buried on 3 September 1668.2
Sir Richard Hastings, 1st and last Bt. was created 1st Baronet Hastings, of Redlynch, Somerset [England] on 7 May 1667.2 In 1669 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2
