     Hon. Mary Loftus was the daughter of Nicholas Loftus, 1st Viscount Loftus of Ely and Hon. Anne Ponsonby.1,2 She married Colonel William Alcock, son of William Alcock and Henrietta Mason, in May 1734.1 She died in 1779.1
     From May 1734, her married name became Alcock.1

Nicholas Loftus, 1st Viscount Loftus of Ely1

     Nicholas Loftus, 1st Viscount Loftus of Ely was born circa 1687.2 He was the son of Henry Loftus and Anne Crewkern.3 He married, secondly, Letitia Rowley, daughter of Sir John Rowley and Mary Langford.2 He married, firstly, Hon. Anne Ponsonby, daughter of William Ponsonby, 1st Viscount Duncannon and Mary Moore, after April 1706.2 He died on 31 December 1763.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Fethard between 1710 and 1713.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Wexford in 1711.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Clonmines between 1713 and 1715.1 He held the office of Governor of County Wexford.2 He was created 1st Baron Loftus of Loftus Hall co. Wexford [Ireland] on 5 October 1751.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1753.2 He was created 1st Viscount Loftus of Ely [Ireland] on 19 July 1756.2

Nicholas Hume-Loftus, 1st Earl of Ely

     Nicholas Hume-Loftus, 1st Earl of Ely was born circa 1708.3 He was the son of Nicholas Loftus, 1st Viscount Loftus of Ely and Hon. Anne Ponsonby.1,4 He married Mary Hume, daughter of Sir Gustavus Hume, 3rd Bt., on 18 August 1736.3 He died on 31 October 1766.3
     He was given the name of Nicholas Loftus at birth.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Loftus of Loftus Hall, co. Wexford [I., 1751] on 31 December 1763.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Loftus of Ely [I., 1756] on 31 December 1763.3 He was appointed Privy Councillor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1764.1 He was created 1st Earl of Ely, co. Wicklow [Ireland] on 23 October 1766.3

Henry Alcock1

     Henry Alcock was the son of Colonel William Alcock and Hon. Mary Loftus.1 He married, firstly, Phillipa Melosina Chenevix, daughter of Rt. Rev. Richard Chenevix, on 1 June 1764.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Katherine Ussher, daughter of Beverley Ussher and Elizabeth Shuldham, on 6 September 1766.1 He died in 1811.1
     He lived at Wilton, County Wexford, IrelandG.1 He gained the rank of officer in the 13th Light Dragoons.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Waterford.1

     Major William Alcock was the son of Colonel William Alcock and Hon. Mary Loftus.1 He married, firstly, unknown Goldfrap.1 He married, secondly, Beata Turner, daughter of unknown Turner.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Wexford Militia.1 He lived at Springfield House, County Wexford, IrelandG.1 His last will was dated 8 July 1808.1
