     Anne Bonfoy was the daughter of Captain Hugh Bonfoy and Anna (?).1,2 She married Henry Loftus, 1st and last Earl of Ely, son of Nicholas Loftus, 1st Viscount Loftus of Ely and Hon. Anne Ponsonby, in 1775.1 She died on 14 August 1821.1
     From 1775, her married name became Loftus.1

     Edward Loftus, 2nd Viscount Loftus of Ely was born circa 1598.1 He was the son of Adam Loftus, 1st Viscount Loftus of Ely and Sarah Bathow.2 He married Jane Lindley, daughter of Arthur Lindley, on 28 February 1635.1 He died on 11 April 1680.1
     Edward Loftus, 2nd Viscount Loftus of Ely was invested as a Knight in January 1622/23.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Loftus of Ely, King's Co. [I., 1622] in 1643.1
